Arun Asok, PhD

Dr. Asok's research focused on unraveling the neural circuits, neural computations, molecular biology, genetics, and behavior of memory, fear, stress, and trauma.  He is a founder of the biotechnology company Alien Therapeutics Inc. focused on Circular RNA therapeutics, a former tenure-track Assistant Professor at the University of Wisconsin,  as well as a former Associate/Postdoctoral Research Scientist at Columbia University & the Howard Hughes Medical Institute with Nobel Laureate Dr. Eric R. Kandel. He completed his Ph.D. in neuroscience and psychology at the University of Delaware with Dr. Jeffrey B. Rosen and his B.S. in neuroscience and psychology at Temple University with Drs. Thomas J. Gould & Richard G. Heimberg. Dr. Asok is also an Associate Editor for Frontiers in Molecular Neuroscience.
